Erbana Repertory Theatre
A theatre company built for how people actually listen now, a resident acting company producing new work and readings from Tom Erb’s catalog, podcast style, with a season, new scripts, and room to grow.
Erbana Repertory Theatre is a new company built to do what a theatre does, run a season, develop new scripts, bring in new playwrights, and hold workshops and classes, without requiring a physical house to do it in. Productions are digital audio and video readings, podcast style, built for how people already listen.
The plan starts lean on purpose. A pilot season built around audio-first, podcast-style readings is the lowest-overhead way for one person to write, cast, direct, record, and edit a production start to finish, and to prove the format before it grows into anything larger, including filmed or video work down the road.
Tom Erb runs it solo to start, with no staff, drawing on six decades on stage and a catalog of more than 150 plays already in circulation through Erb Publishing.
