One wedding weekend. One uninvited guest. Every secret the Engle family swore they would never tell.
Laura and Robert are getting married this weekend, at Laura’s childhood home, surrounded by the Engle family in full celebration mode. It is supposed to be simple. It is not going to be simple.
The first complication arrives with Laura’s brother Steve, who shows up with a guest named Billy that nobody in the family was expecting and nobody can quite explain. From there, the weekend starts to come loose at the seams, one conversation at a time.
Holding the center of it all is Sally, Laura’s best friend and Maid of Honor, doing everything in her power to keep the schedule, the seating chart, and the family’s composure intact while the people around her seem determined to test all three.
What starts as a promising, joyful occasion gradually unravels into a weekend of comedic mishaps and long-buried truths finally getting said out loud, whether anyone in the room is ready to hear them or not.
Wedding Secrets is a full-length comedy about love, family, and the particular chaos of trying to keep a happy occasion from turning into a confession booth, right up until it does anyway.
